Blog 5 ; "Allegory of the Cave" Summary

"The Allegory of the Cave" written 360 B.C.E; translated by Benjamin Jowett told us what Socrates was talking with Glaucon. Socrates said that our human beings was an educated or uneducated person because  they did not think about long way and also tied their legs and necks chained like prisoners . They would know their own shadows between the fire and the wall , but they did not guess what the shadow should come next sitting in front of the fire. Glaucon agreed with Socrates because they could only see their shadows and they did not know what the truth image before them. If they looked back their necks round and walked towards the light after breaking their chains, they would see a nature of beautiful world. Socrates explained that he saw the light at the outside and discovered the reality such as the sun, the moon, the star and the water. He told them that the season and the years that gave the people in the visible world to behold the whole things.  He tried to persuade his followers to observe the passing shadows and made the decision of their future with honors and glories. He claimed that the prisoners could imagine their understanding and think about what was true or false, right or wrong so that their souls and powers could see what happen in the world.
